Our Caregiving Journey
Plum Wings Family Care Co. was born from a deeply personal experience and a strong desire to support families, especially those living far away from their support systems.
During pregnancy, a medical diagnosis led to a challenging experience, including a preterm delivery and emergency surgery. Recovery was extremely difficult while caring for young children without family nearby.
That experience revealed how overwhelming life can become, especially when balancing recovery, childcare, and everyday responsibilities without reliable help.

We provide non-medical support services including post partum & newborn care, childcare( nanny, babysitting & event childcare), senior support, respite care, appointment /outing support, live-in support, and household support (housekeeping, family assistant, and home management).

Plum Wings Family Care Co. proudly provides non-medical in-home support services across Edmonton, Sherwood Park, Fort Saskatchewan, and nearby surrounding communities.
Through our Placement Services, we are also able to support families across Canada by helping recruit, screen, and match qualified caregivers and household support professionals based on each family’s unique needs.
Are your caregivers screened & trained?
Yes. Our caregivers and support professionals go through a screening and onboarding process which may include interviews, reference checks, background or Vulnerable Sector Checks where applicable, and verification of relevant certifications such as CPR and First Aid.
We carefully select caregivers based on experience, professionalism, reliability, and alignment with the unique needs of each family we support.
How do I get started?
Getting started is simple.

- Complete and submit the Client / Family Intake Form.
- Our team will contact you for a consultation to better understand your needs, schedule, location, and preferred support options
- If your request is urgent, you may also create a booking through your secure client portal after submitting your form
- Once services are confirmed and payment is completed, we carefully match you with a pre-screened caregiver or support professional suited to your family’s needs
- Ongoing support, scheduling coordination, and communication are managed through your secure client portal for a smooth and organized experience
How quickly can services begin?
Depending on availability, services may begin within 24–72 hours.
Do you provide event childcare?
Yes. We provide childcare for weddings, parties, corporate events, and special occasions.
What is included in household support?
Our Household Support services help families maintain a clean, organized, and smoothly running home environment.
Services may include housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, home organization, errands, homework supervision, family assistant support, and household management assistance tailored to your family’s daily routines and needs.
All services are non-medical and customized based on the level of support your household requires.
What if the caregiver is not a good fit?
We will work with you to find a suitable replacement.
