Nanny Staffing

Find the Right Nanny for Your Family

Every family is different, and so is the kind of childcare support they need.

Whether you’re looking for dependable everyday childcare, support with a newborn, an extra pair of hands at home, specialized support for your child, or a nanny with a stronger educational focus, Plum Wings helps you find candidates whose experience, availability, and skills align with your family’s needs.

We take care of the recruitment, screening, and matching process so you can focus on choosing the person who feels right for your family.

What Kind of Nanny Are You Looking For?

Not every nanny position looks the same. Understanding the type of support you need helps us recruit candidates who are better suited to your household.

  • General Nanny

For families looking for regular, dependable childcare support.

A nanny’s responsibilities may include supervising and caring for children, preparing children’s meals, supporting daily routines, planning age-appropriate activities, school or daycare drop-offs and pickups, children’s laundry, and keeping child-related areas organized.

Available for full-time or part-time, temporary or permanent, and live-in or live-out arrangements.

  • Newborn & Postpartum Nanny

For families who need additional support during the newborn and postpartum period.

Depending on the family’s needs, responsibilities may include newborn care, feeding-related support, settling and sleep routines, baby laundry, bottle preparation and cleaning, and helping parents manage everyday newborn routines.

The position can be structured for daytime, overnight, temporary, or longer-term support depending on the family’s needs.

  • Mother’s Helper

For parents who are often at home but need an extra pair of hands.

A Mother’s Helper may assist with supervising children, playtime, children’s meals, light child-related tasks, outings, routines, and other practical support while a parent remains actively involved at home.

This can be particularly helpful during busy seasons, postpartum recovery, working from home, or when caring for multiple children.

  • Special Needs Nanny

For families looking for a nanny with experience supporting a child who requires additional assistance.

The candidate’s experience and skills are matched as closely as possible to the responsibilities of the position and the child’s individual support needs.

Depending on the role, this may include support with routines, communication, mobility, daily activities, supervision, outings, or other individualized needs.

  • Governess / Educational Nanny

For families looking for childcare with a stronger emphasis on learning and development.

A Governess or Educational Nanny may support homework, reading, educational activities, developmental goals, school routines, learning through play, and age-appropriate enrichment while also providing childcare.

The qualifications and educational background required can be tailored to the family’s expectations for the position.

Nanny Staffing That Fits Your Family

Your nanny position can be structured around your family’s schedule and circumstances.

  • Temporary or Short-Term

For families who need childcare for a defined period, such as several weeks or months, school breaks, postpartum periods, recovery, travel, temporary schedule changes, or other short-term needs.

  • Permanent or Long-Term

For families looking to build a consistent, ongoing relationship with a nanny without a predetermined end date.

  • Full-Time

For families requiring regular childcare for 30 or more hours per week.

  • Part-Time

For families requiring regular childcare for fewer than 30 hours per week, such as selected weekdays, shorter shifts, or before- and after-school support.

  • Live-In

For families looking for a nanny who will reside in the family home while working an agreed schedule.

Live-in arrangements do not mean 24/7 availability. Working hours, time off, accommodation, responsibilities, and other employment terms should be clearly established.

  • Live-Out

For families looking for a nanny who maintains their own residence and comes to the family home according to the agreed working schedule.

More Than Finding a Résumé

Inviting someone into your home and trusting them with your children is a significant decision.

That’s why our role goes beyond simply sending you a list of applicants.

We work to understand your family’s needs before identifying potential candidates.

Our placement process may include:

  • Recruitment & Candidate Sourcing

We search for candidates based on the requirements of your nanny position.

  • Candidate Interviews

Potential candidates are interviewed as part of our assessment process.

  • Experience & Reference Verification

Relevant employment history, childcare experience, and references may be reviewed and verified.

  • Background Screening

Applicable background screening and documentation are reviewed or coordinated as required for the position.

  • Qualification Verification

Where a position requires specific certifications, training, or educational qualifications, applicable documentation may be verified.

  • Matching

We consider the candidate’s experience, availability, qualifications, and preferences alongside your family’s requirements.

  • Candidate Presentation & Interviews

Suitable candidate profiles are presented for your consideration, and you decide who you’d like to interview.

  • You Make the Final Decision

You choose the nanny you believe is the right fit for your family. Once you and your preferred candidate agree to move forward, we help guide the placement through the transition into employment

  • Placement & Transition Support

Our involvement doesn’t simply end when you choose a candidate.

We remain available to support you through the placement transition, helping both you and your selected nanny move into the new working relationship as smoothly as possible.

Where questions or concerns arise during the applicable support period, you can reach out to Plum Wings for placement-related guidance.

  • Replacement Guarantee

We understand that even with a thoughtful recruitment and screening process, sometimes a placement may not work out as expected.

Depending on the placement package selected, your placement includes a replacement guarantee period. If the placement ends within the applicable guarantee period and the conditions of the guarantee are met, Plum Wings will conduct a replacement search in accordance with your Placement Agreement.

Available guarantee periods may include:

30 Days • 60 Days • 90 Days • 120 Days • 150 Days • Lifetime

The applicable guarantee period, eligibility requirements, exclusions, and replacement terms are determined by the placement package selected and your Placement Agreement.

You Remain in Control of Who You Hire

Plum Wings is an employment agency. We help with recruitment, screening, matching, placement, and applicable post-placement support, but we do not choose your nanny for you.

You review potential candidates, conduct interviews, ask questions, and make the final hiring decision.

Once you select and hire your preferred candidate, the nanny becomes your employee, not an employee of Plum Wings.

This gives your family control over the employment relationship, including the agreed responsibilities, schedule, compensation, and employment terms, subject to applicable employment requirements.

Already Found a Nanny?

You don’t necessarily need our full recruitment and placement service.

If you’ve already found someone you’re considering hiring, Plum Wings can help you with independent candidate screening and verification before you make your final decision.
